Description

Linglong originated in the Song Dynasty and flourished in the Ming and Qing. Defined by the paradox of being translucent yet watertight, its presence has endured for centuries as a standard of technical control and restraint.

Linglong Pattern Set No. 01 is formed through a disciplined ceramic sequence where tolerance is measured in millimeters. Across seventy-two processes, the blade cuts with steady precision; glaze is guided into each tiny opening with controlled flow; and firing becomes a test of temperature and timing held under sustained heat.

After the kiln, the surface remains sealed for daily use, while the pierced pattern holds light without weakening the structure. It is built for function first—stable in structure, consistent in use—across modern kitchen environments.

Craftsmanship Note

Linglong allows no correction once fire begins. Piercing, glaze infusion, and kiln timing must align under extreme temperature. What remains is strength, stability, and a translucence that does not compromise function.
